This fungicide information is provided as an initial reference for products "labeled" for pecans, but not necessarily recommended. The fungicide applicator must read and follow all current label directions for the specific fungicide being used. The label is the governing document. No endorsement is intended for products mentioned, nor is criticism meant for products not included. The authors assume no liability resulting from the use of this information.  Please consult your local IPM agent for additional information.

IMPORTANT!  Avoiding Fungicide Resistance

Fungicides labeled for control of pecan scab differ in their chemical properties, their activity on the fungus, and the ease by which the pathogen can become resistant to them. It is important to understand this relationship so that the best fungicide choices can be made for control of scab. Some fungicides with excellent control properties against scab are also highly prone to resistance. There are three categories of fungicide resistance risk to pecan scab, which are outlined in Dr. Tom Isakeit's publication, Pecan Scab: Understanding Fungicide Activity to Prevent Fungicide Resistance.  The publication is available in our Library by clicking here.

How to Search the Database

Use one of the options below to search for fungicide information. A list of fungicides matching your criteria will be returned.  In some cases, there may be only one product.  Each fungicide product name is linked to a detail page. The detail page will give you pertinent label information available for that fungicide, plus a link to a printable label and manufacturer information.

  • Display all the fungicides in the database. The list is alphabetized by Trade Name, but is sortable on other criteria.
  • Search by chemical name (active ingredient).
  • Search by class/mode of action.

IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT CLASS/MODE OF ACTION: The fungicide classifications below are provided by FRAC (Fungicide Resistance Action Committee).  Please visit the FRAC website for more information. For a detailed code listing, see the FRAC Code List.

  • Search for a product OMRI-listed for organic use. (Materials approved for organic use in the U.S. by the Organic Materials Review Institute (
  • Search for a disease by typing in the full name of part of the name. The results page will display all products labeled to treat the pest with the name you specified, as well as other diseases labeled for treatment by that product.
  • Search by manufacturer.
